About Korea Backpackers

Korea Backpackers is a free, all-in-one site for working holiday makers and backpackers in South Korea: practical guides, quick answers, and soon, boards for jobs, rooms and second-hand goods.

Why we started

Countries like Australia and New Zealand have long had websites that bring together everything a working holiday maker needs. Korea didn't. We know how confusing the first weeks in a new country can be, from registering with immigration to finding a room and a job, so we're building the site we would have wanted.

How we write our guides

• We check facts against official sources, such as the Korea Immigration Service and government websites, and list our sources at the end of each guide.
• Each guide shows the date it was last checked. Rules and prices change, so always confirm anything important with the official source.
• Our guides are general information, not legal or immigration advice.
